Last term we celebrated science by participating in National Science Week. The whole school took part and were fully engaged and motivated to learn and discover new things. During the week the children learnt all about gases in the air and used a spectrometer to measure them. They also learnt all about Archimedes and did some investigations based around him. The children had a visit from both Wild Science and Zoolab and were able to hold and learn about a variety of different mammals, reptiles and amphibians. We had a talk all about electricity and learnt how DNA can be extracted from strawberries. We also had lots of fun building different structures and testing our engineering brains. We really learnt a lot!
